Finally started this excellent Nuts Planet bust based on Lt Winters from Band of Brothers, such a good sculpting that you can recognise Damian Lewis!
The detail is really crisp, making it both a joy and a challenge to paint to a higher enough standard. So far I have only worked on the head and hands so far.
This will be an almost totally painted in acrylic, it's a limited palette piece so it will be interesting on how it pans out as I work my way through the model.
Another challenge will be building the model and painting in separate parts, I have never worked on a bust that has most of the assembly post painting. This will lead to a few repaints and blending in as the parts come together.
